Beginning in southern China, and the east China Sea the annular path of the first solar eclipse of 2012  begins at the Moon’s descending node in central Taurus. A wide path of annularity, travels eastward as the shadow sweeps along the southern coast of Japan and heads northeast across the Northern Pacific. The shadow passes south of Alaska’s Aleutian islands slowly curving to the southeast. After an ocean voyage lasting nearly 2 hours, it reaches the coastlines of Southern Oregon, and northern California. It continues it’s journey southeast to central Nevada, southern Utah and northern Arizona, onward to New Mexico and finally above western Texas.

Thanks to NASA.gov detailed information is available online which allows me to decide what and who is affected by the Solar eclipse. Keeping in mind the Lunar eclipse June 4, 2012 will add further details to my forecast.

As the eclipse begins the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Lilith are moving through  Taurus. In astrological terms the four  planets with Lilith form a stellium (a grouping) and this accentuates what is seen. Usually when Taurus is involved in an eclipse the electro magnetic fields affecting our planet represents earthquakes and great winds, and mixed with Saturn in Libra drought and poor crops. In some areas floods and storms coming from the seas will be destructive.

In astrological terms the data an astrologer interprets from the planetary aspects has a longer life than the timing of the eclipse. The eclipse course has a 3.5-hour trajectory, in astrological terms that translates to just over 3 years.  Some of the forecasting is immediate but some of it begins slowly, and builds over the next 3 years.

Because the northern Pacific will experience the shadow for nearly 2 hours, I would anticipate plate movement within the Pacific Ocean, north and south ( interpreting the lunar eclipse at the same time). Earth movement could possibly affect  the Cascadia subduction zone located off the west coast of North America. From mid Vancouver Island to northern California the Juan de Fuca Plate is subducting beneath the North American Plate knowing this information earthquakes will probably increase in and around Vancouver, B.C., Seattle, Washington and off the coast of Oregon, Grants Pass, Medford and Klamath Falls . In California quakes can increase near Eureka, Redding, Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles, basically  northern coastline cities.

Alaska could also experience an increase in movement near Anchorage, and areas south of Kiska and Buldir Islands.

Remember this is an eclipse in the sign of Taurus affecting the land, sea and air,  despite its strength, it relates to slow movements with strength, over time. The jolts come when opposing planets to the eclipse take place. The immediate jolts take place May 20, 24, 27, June 3, June 5 and June 9.

Despite the fact quakes can take place within May and June, planetary aspects indicate stronger quakes are more likely late September, and early October of this year.

Though I have written this article accentuating the American west coast, I am concerned with quake activity affecting Haikou, Guangzhou, Beijing, Taiwan and other areas close by within China.  I am concerned with Japan quake activity in Tokyo , Sendai, and Japan’s southern coastline.

The eclipse represents more than quake activity. It represents storms, high winds and flooding, toxic problems, pollution and volcanic activity.

The eclipses’ activity actually helps Mother Nature regenerate the Earth so mankind and other species survive, and call this planet ‘home’. Eclipse activity is only a disaster when we happen to live in areas we know are prone to quake, volcanic, tsunami and storm activity.

Will Mother Nature act up under this particular eclipse influence over the next 3 years?

Of course she will, but that is normal!

Hundreds of arrests in Russia clouded Victory Day festivities, and anti-corruption blogger Alexei Navalny, was arrested twice in a single evening. Navalny born June 4, 1976 in Butyn, Moscow region, a Gemini Sun sign with his Moon, and Mars in Leo definitely knows how to motivate the youth to protest. Sill with his Mercury in Taurus he is sensible enough to keep the protestors from reacting violently. The combination of his planetary aspects makes him a formidable voice for those wanting Russia’s leaders to pay attention to the people and their concerns.

Over the next four months Russia will find the people much more vocal especially when Mars moves into the sign of Libra during July, and August squaring Russia’s Capricorn planets.

Vladimir Putin, a Libra Sun sign with a Gemini Moon,and Gemini rising sign will be a force for Navalny to deal with. At the same time, I would think Putin would actually admire the young man’s approach to his beliefs and ideals even if it is creating a disturbance to Putin’s own agenda.

Navalny should actually pay attention to astrology if he wants to understand President        Putin and his plans for Russia. Putin may have been reelected as aspecting Mars in Virgo brought criticism his direction, but Jupiter enters Gemini  June12 for one year allowing Putin success in his endeavors. Actually if Putin is as smart as I think he is, he would align himself with Navalny and his fellow leaders to transform how the people of Russia see their country, and way of life.

This would benefit Putin’s leadership and popularity, and transform Navalny’s professional and political life.

A lack of knowledge in history, government, and art caused members of some  focus groups such as  UPI.com  to comment, ‘It’s too’ pornographic’ because of partially-clad figures on a monument located in Northern France. Some participants in the focus groups were unaware of the wartime memorial honoring thousands of Canadian servicemen, in particular forgotten soldiers with unmarked graves. The group of women at the top of the statue are known as the Chorus. The most senior figures represent Justice and Peace – the latter with a torch upraised. The figures of Hope, Charity, Honour and Faith are located below Justice and Peace. Truth and Knowledge are positioned on the Western side.

Is the civilized world going  back to the dark ages. Why do we look at the nude body with disgust. Can we  not tell the difference between a work of art, and a pornographic  picture.

For the past six months it seems everyone is asking me the same questions. Why is everyone so angry? Whatever happened to politeness and responsibility? Why is there so much anger and back-biting in today’s world. Why do young people think they have the right to gang up and threaten strangers, or steal for the fun of it.

Mars moving through Virgo has everyone questioning what is life all about. It is not the fear of Armageddon, but the concern for what people see as negative actions and reactions around the planet .

Certainly government decisions, world leaders statements, the threat of war and terrorism, economic concerns, gas and food prices, and business closures has everyone wondering if world leaders know what they are doing.

Of course Mother Nature seems to be responding to the tensions man is manifesting, but energy fields positive and negative move around the planet so it makes sense Mother Nature is a little tense herself.

Unemployment is increasing, food stamps and higher food costs have the average family wondering how they will survive. Families losing their homes, and way of life certainly must feel large corporations forget who uses their products, and the politicians forget who put them in office.

Add the square between Uranus and Pluto which is with us for sometime, you begin to realize it is a time for mankind to get back to basics, or the lessons in life become tougher. What are the lessons? Life is about love, faith, responsibility, compassion, and brotherhood.

According to scientists man has been on planet Earth for approximately 50,000 years, some say 100,000 years. It really doesn’t matter which number is correct. If our home planet is 4.7 billion years old  then we are still in the bassinet stage, in diapers.

Heaven help us when we reach the terrible twos!

Working without someone’s birth time leads to an astrological analysis using a solar chart, and planetary aspects  as your source for a judgment call. In astrology’s history the horoscope was often interpreted in just this manner in order to understand an individual, and his actions. How the aspects interact in a birth chart lets the astrologer know if an individual will act out mentally, emotionally, or physically .The aspects indicate if there are psychological, or mental problems. In a solar chart it is possible to see how someone thinks, reacts and acts, how his upbringing and health influences his actions.

The chart using a birth time brings all the facts into focus, and further information about the person’s mental and emotional health.

In my first article of Norway’s killer, Anders Behring Breivik it was impossible to find his birth hour so I used the old method for interpretation. I want to give thanks to European Astrologer Dick Ettema for sharing the birth time which he acquired on Breivik.

After setting up Breivik’s chart with his birth hour, I came to the same conclusion as I did before. Breivik’s reasoning may be distorted when he is in disagreement with others, or with what is happening around him. He is capable of sudden erratic, violent behavior. Yet he does know right from wrong. He understands the consequence of his actions. He gets caught up in his beliefs, and what he thinks is the only answer.

Is he mentally insane, no. Is he mentally unstable- yes. There is a difference!

Does he know what he did- yes. Did he plan the killings – yes.

Anders Bering Breivik went on trial April 16, 2012 for killing 77 people in two separate incidents in Norway. At 3:26 pm local time July 22, 2011 eight people were killed in the  bombing of the Oslo’s government district. At 4:50 pm Breivik killed 69 people in his shooting massacre at the left-leaning Labor Party’s youth camp on Utoya island outside the capital.

Apparently a key issue in Breivik’s case is his mental state which will decide whether he is sent to prison, or into psychiatric care. Apparently one report deems him legally insane, and another states he is mentally competent.

Not having Breivik’s birth time, I drew up a solar chart using his birth date and place of birth. Breivik was born February 13, 1979 in London. He is an Aquarian Sun sign with his Moon in Virgo.

Looking into his chart I had to decide is he mentally competent. You would think anyone who sets out to kill a large number of people cannot be sane. In astrological terms how Breivik  acts is ruled by a square aspect between Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Scorpio in his birth chart. The square indicates  Breivik believes in decisive action. He has a fierce determination to bring about change, no matter how destructive. He is idealistic, and when upset with what he considers inactivity over issues he feels must change, Breivik  takes on the revolutionary desire to overthrow government decisions.

In his chart Mercury in Aquarius allows us to see how Breivik thinks, and despite some good aspects with other planets Mercury forms a square to Uranus. The aspect makes him quite bright, but at the same time he can make snap judgments. He is not open to advice from anyone. Breivik is opinionated, difficult, excitable and capable of violence especially for what he deems is an important cause.

As an Aquarian Sun sign Breivik will seldom his emotions, and when he does it is never as others think he should.  Any reference to him being “flattened” emotionally would be incorrect. He may not cry when you expect him to, or react the way you think he should, but he is “not legally insane”.  The Norway massacre was well thought out and planned in detail, over a period of time, to further his beliefs and agenda.

The North Koreans should have used an astrologer for their rocket launch.

On Friday. April 13, 2012 at 7:39am, local time, with the Sun In Aries at a critical degree, and Venus the ruler of the launch the timing suggested failure. Besides the Moon in Capricorn squaring Saturn in Libra, Mars in Virgo was opposing Neptune in Pisces, and both squared Venus in Gemini indicating the rocket was doomed.

Don’t know when being  a Mother is not considered a full-time job. Don’t know why another woman would criticize  a stay-at-home mother of five children complaining the woman ‘had never really worked a day in her life’.

Hilary Rosen’s  statement about Ann Romney is ridiculous. Ann Romney responded on Twitter ‘I made choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me it was hard work.’

Rosen attempting to save face stated ‘u do know that most young american women have to earn a living AND raise their kids don’t u?’

Whatever happened to good journalism. Why do people find it necessary to find fault with others, and display a meanness within their  own character thinking  it will impress anyone who is listening.
Hilary Rosen born October 22, 1958 ( according to internet sources) is a Libra Sun sign with three planets in Scorpio so it does not surprise me that she is a Democratic strategist, and pundit as well as a lobbyist. Actually her rant on Ann Romney is not a surprise either. With Scorpio planets  her stinging remarks  is typical of someone with Mercury in Scorpio when they think it helps their cause, or if they dislike what someone represents to them.

Ann Romney born April 16, 1949 is an Aries Sun sign, and has a stellium of Aries planets  in her chart. In astrological terms a stellium is a grouping of four, or more planets in one sign which is quite powerful. Ann Romney is bright, quick to learn, intuitive and sensitive. If she had chosen to be in business, a strategist, or a lobbyist she would have been one of the best. Instead she took on a much more important job, motherhood, and it appears she did a dam good job of it.

Rosen did finally apologize to Ann Romney which was a good thing because Ann Romney  like most young American women have the right to make their own choices. Because of the choices they made some have to work and raise children, some don’t, but we all make our own choices in life.

On the anniversary of the maiden voyage of the Titanic I decided to look into the astrological data of the ship, and her fateful journey. Just how important is the moment a ship sets sail.

Wednesday, April 10, 1912 at 12 noon the Titanic  began her voyage from Southampton, England to New York. Four days into the journey the luxurious passenger liner struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean on Sunday, April 14at 11:40pm. The ship sank on Monday, April 15 at 2:20am.

An astrological chart for the moment of the Titanic’s collision point to a number of crucial aspects which took place, forming two T-squares or a Grand Square between planets. The rising sign was at a critical degree ruled by Saturn, Taurus and Leo. Mercury was in retrograde forming one of the T-squares. Astrologers know T-squares can represent a number of serious problems. When you have two T-squares  you had better pay attention to what the planetary aspects are telling you.

Mercury and Neptune point out mistakes were made due to  ill considered decisions relating to the safety of the ship near icebergs. In charge of this large ship Captain Edward John Smith, an Aquarius Sun Sign, understood the perils of sailing in the North Atlantic, but on this dark night mistakes were made creating critical consequences.

Despite the moment of collision revealing difficult planetary aspects it was important to look into the moment the ship began its voyage on April 10, 1912. The chart for the maiden journey of the Titanic  suggests the ship would run into serious difficulty quickly. Mercury in retrograde ruled the passage, and it formed a T-square with  four other planets signifying an accident. If the company had used an astrologer the voyage date, and time would have been changed knowing there could be a large loss of life. The chart has a lot more information and  detail revealing the disaster.

As an astrologer I wanted to look into one more chart to see if the ship was susceptible to accidents from the very beginning. The Titanic was launched on Wednesday, May 31, 1911 at 12:15pm. I consider this the birth date of the Titanic. The Titanic’s birth chart signifies Mercury ruled the ship . Mercury and Saturn were aspected well in the heavens, and actually ruled long distance travel. Mars in Cancer represented the ship builders, and the sea. Mars was in a difficult aspect with Pluto and Lilith revealing possible accidents and loss of life in the ships future. Within the chart there is much more information  indicating if the ship’s owners had used astrology  for all of the Titanic’s travel it may never have gone to its watery grave with 1,514 souls.
